The simple version

Date math shouldn't feel like math.

DayCountLab handles the awkward parts—different month lengths, leap years, and weekends—so you can plan with a result you understand.

01

Calendar days

The difference calculator excludes the start date and includes the end date, matching the most common way elapsed time is counted.

02

Business days

Workdays mean Monday through Friday. Weekends are skipped; location-specific public holidays are not.

03

Private by default

Every calculation happens in your browser. Dates are not submitted, stored, or tied to an account.

04

Leap-year aware

Calculations use real calendar dates, so February 29 and varying month lengths are handled automatically.

Questions, answered

Small details that make a big difference.

Does the date difference include both dates?

DayCountLab excludes the start date and includes the end date. For example, Monday to Tuesday is one day. This is the standard elapsed-time convention.

Are public holidays removed from business days?

No. Holiday calendars vary across countries, regions, and companies. DayCountLab removes Saturdays and Sundays only, then clearly labels that rule beside the result.

Can I count backward from a date?

Yes. Enter a negative number in the workday counter, or choose “Subtract time” in the date math calculator.

Is this calculator free?

Yes. All four calculators are free to use, with no account, download, or usage limit.
